Tourism and Travel Services

The objective of the Tourism and Travel Services program is to train enterprising individuals who possess the fundamental skills of the travel services profession through theoretical and practical education, exhibit effective communication skills, and can utilize computer software related to their field. The education and training curriculum applied in the Tourism and Travel Services Program aims to provide students with mid-level management knowledge in the field, analytical thinking capacity in sub-disciplines of management sciences (Human Resources Management, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, Communication), knowledge, skills, and application capacity at the operational level in tourism and travel management (Ticketing and Automation, Incoming Agency and Automation), as well as competence and capability in problem-solving skills and teamwork. 

 

The Tourism and Travel Services program, which started its education and training by accepting its first students in the 2004-2005 academic year, only accepts regular (daytime) education students, and the program does not have an evening education format. The student quota for the program is 60 students.

The education period of the program is 2 years. Graduates are entitled to receive an Associate Degree.

Our program admits students based on the TYT score type obtained from the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) conducted by ÖSYM. Students holding a high school diploma or its equivalent who fulfill the provisions specified in the relevant legislation of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the relevant regulations of Akdeniz University are admitted to our program. To graduate from the program, students must fulfill the success conditions specified in the Akdeniz University Education-Training and Examination Regulations.
